The International Dance Festival in Telavi was held from 8 to 12 June 2026 in the Georgian city of Telavi. The cultural event brought together 800 participants, who showcased the richness of Georgian dance art and traditions. The festival was directed by Goga Rostiashvili. Over the course of five days, the dance ensembles had the opportunity to present their artistic work and take part in an event aimed at promoting friendship, cultural exchange and the preservation of folk traditions. The participating ensembles were awarded the festival’s grand prize. Each group and its artistic director received a diploma, while all performers were presented with certificates of participation. Among the official guests of the festival were the Director of the Choreographic School, Mzia Apridonidze, Director of the Sergo Zakariadze College of Modern and Traditional Arts, and choreographer Tinatin Koyava. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Telavi, Vazha Maghradze, the Director of the Department of Culture, Pikria Kurshitashvili, and Zhana Khandjaliashvili, Director of the Zaira Arsenishvili Cultural Centre at Telavi City Hall. The International Dance Festival in Telavi strengthens the city’s position as a meeting place for dance art, cultural traditions and artistic cooperation. The next edition of the festival will take place from 7 to 11 June 2027 in Telavi.
