The International Children’s and Youth Folklore Festival “Spring Flower” was successfully held from 8 to 12 May 2026in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The festival brought together more than 250 children and young performers, transforming one of the most beautiful cities in the Balkans into a stage for folklore, friendship, and cultural exchange.

This year’s edition welcomed ensembles from Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as three folklore groups from North Macedonia. Over several days, the young performers showcased the richness of their national traditions through music, songs, and dances, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for both participants and audiences.

In addition to the concert programme, the festival also featured a rich cultural and sightseeing programme. Participants had the opportunity to explore the historic centre of Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy a boat trip across Lake Ohrid to the St. Naum Monastery Complex, and visit many other iconic landmarks in the region.

The festival concluded with unforgettable emotions, new friendships, and lasting memories. All participants departed with the hope of meeting again at future international festivals, united by their love of folklore and their commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of their nations.
