From 20 to 24 July 2026, the town of Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will host the International Music & Folk – Dance Festival “Summer in Bosnia and Herzegovina” – an international forum bringing together folklore ensembles, choirs and orchestras from various countries. After seven consecutive years of successful development, the festival has established itself as a platform for encounters between cultures, traditions and people united by music and dance.

The festival concept focuses on the authentic presentation of national cultural heritage and the creation of real international connections among participants. The programme combines open-air stage performances, festive parades, joint concerts and informal meetings, transforming the event into a living cultural experience rather than merely a competitive stage.

Visoko is a town of exceptional historical and cultural significance – a medieval capital of Bosnia, a commercial and spiritual centre, and today globally recognized for the archaeological complex of the Bosnian Pyramids. The location offers a rich environment for cultural tourism, sightseeing, discovering local heritage and organized visits within the region, including Sarajevo.

During the festival days, participants will have the opportunity for one or two stage performances in Visoko and nearby towns, as well as active involvement in the official opening and closing ceremonies and festive joint evenings. Performances will take place in the evening, allowing daytime hours to be dedicated to cultural visits and exploring the region.

The organizers invite folklore ensembles, choirs, orchestras and dance formations from around the world to become part of the International Music & Folk – Dance Festival “Summer in Bosnia and Herzegovina” 2026. Applications for participation are now open. The festival offers a clear programme structure, international visibility and an authentic cultural atmosphere.
