As September 5, 2024, approaches, all eyes turn to the towns of Kiten and Primorsko, which will host the 21st edition of the Black Sea Festival "Euro Folk." The festival, part of the Euro Folk Musical Holidays, will run until September 8 and promises to bring together folklore ensembles from various parts of Bulgaria and the world. At the opening ceremony, which will take place on September 5 at the "Kremikovtsi" complex, the audience will be welcomed by the president of EAFF, Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov. Special guests on stage will include the festival jury members, led by Maestro Georgi Yankov. The festival has a competitive nature, and participants will compete in 9 categories, divided into two age groups. The awards include laureate titles, honorary badges, and the most prestigious festival prizes—the "Golden Orpheus" and the Grand Prix "Golden Orpheus." The program promises variety and excitement, with the first festival evening ending with performances by folklore ensembles from different regions. The next day will feature a parade in Kiten, and the event will conclude on September 7 in Primorsko with the official awards ceremony and the festival's closing. The program will start at 5:30 PM, and at 9:00 PM, the official awards ceremony and closing of the Black Sea Festival will take place! The traditional festival is organized by the Euro Folk Academy under the auspices of the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF), which is accredited by UNESCO for the preservation of the world's intangible cultural heritage.
