The International Folklore Dance and Music Festival "BOSPHORUS" was held in the period 20-24 October 2023, welcoming 290 participants from Bulgaria, Indonesia, Romania, Serbia, Panama, Iran, Yakutia Sakha Republic (Russia) and Turkey (local folklore dance groups).

The festival was held for the 4th time in Istanbul, but this time due to the circumstances (declared mourning days) the festival was held in Sariyer Municipality, Istanbul, Turkey. The festival event was held at the Municipality's RAUF DENKTAS Cultural Center after the festival parade. At the end of the festival groups were awarded plaques by the organizers.

At the welcoming ceremony of the first night, groups had the opportunity to learn Turkish dances and to exchange professional experience on the specially arranged gala evening as a workshop. Later, each group showed their traditional dances. Participants had the opportunity to enjoy the disco party until midnight.

Guests went back to their countries with great memories and wishes to come back again next year, but before leaving they had the opportunity to join different excursions such as Bosphorus Boat Trip, Visiting the old town of Istanbul, Taksim square and Ortakoy, Galata tower.
