The Absolute winner of this year's nineteenth edition of the Folklore festival "Euro Folk - Black Sea 2023", who won the Grand Prix and the Golden "Orpheus" is the Mummers club from Mirkovo village. Art director of the group is Iliycho Lalchev. The event was held in the Black sea town of Kiten in the period from 21 to 25 June. It is one of the most colorful musical events from the Musical Feasts "Euro Folk" held under the auspices of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, a globally recognized, accredited organization with consultative relations with UNESCO. Winner of First place and Golden "Orpheus" in the "Folklore songs - processed folklore" category is the Female folklore group "Zlatarishka kitka" from Zlataritsa. Art director of the group is Atanaska Ignatova. Winner of First place and Golden "Orpheus" in the "Mixed group for authentic folklore" is Mixed group for authentic folklore at "Kiril i Metodiy 1952" Community center - Egrek village, Krumovgrad municipality. Art director of the group is Yuriy Hadzhiev. Folklore dance group "Pastra kitka" at "Vasil Levski" Secondary school from Krumovgrad won the First place and Golden "Orpheus" in the "Folklore dances" category. Art director of the group is Daniela Boyadzhieva. The jury commission has the task to evaluate the performances of participants in 9 categories and 2 age groups, and was in the following composition: Mr. Valentin Halvadzhiev - choreographer and Mrs Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist, program director of EuroFolk TV. Chairman of the jury was Maestro Georgi Yankov - music specialist. After the official awarding ceremony, the event was closed with Bulgarian round-dance, and the participants shared their wishes to see each other again in 2024 when the jubilee 20th edition of the event is going to take place.
