150 participants from 6 countries, such as People’s Republic of China, Indonesia, Republic of Sakha of Russia, Republic of Korea, Poland and Taiwan performed at the stage of the “Asia Folk 2023” folklore and handcraft festival, held in Ulaanbaatar on June 15-20, 2023.

Handcrafters from Japan, India and People’s Republic of China also participated in the festival, presenting their handicraft items.

In the folklore category participants had competition performances. 

Delehei, solo artist from Inner Mongolia, China won the Grand Prix, Golden Cup and got a cash prize of 10 000 000 tg

Bronze cup went to the “LAB Art” project team from Indonesia and they received a cash prize of 7 000 000 tg.

Jury committee made a decision to choose two groups for the Bronze cup and the winners are Korea Folk Arts Troupe from Korea and German and Klavdiia Khatylaevii from Republic of Sakha, Russia. Each of them got 2 000 000 tg as a cash prize.

An online edition of the festival was held simultaneously with the traditional form of the competition. Online edition was attended by 120 participants from 10 countries who participated in the festival with their 21 performances.

Elena Degtyareva and Tatyana Krasnobaeva, duet musicians from Belarus won the golden diploma and a cash prize of 500 euro. You can check out other winners in the online competition - here.
