The seventh edition of the International festival of music and dance "Friends in Kaliningrad" will give an opportunity to participants all over the world to meet the Baltics from 7th to 10th July 2023. For the first time the event that is part of a series of feasts, will be held in Kaliningrad. The town is unique for its location - it doesn't have borders with Russia, it is located between Poland and Lithuania on the shore of the Baltic Sea and for the history it has.The town host of the festival is home to the only amber museum, and was part of East Prussia and then Germany and was called Königsberg.

The participants of the musical festival will not only perform in the beautiful hall of the Palace of Culture of the Railway Workers, but also see the sights of Kaliningrad, walk around the old German quarter and get acquainted with architectural masterpieces. They will also have the opportunity to visit the National Summer Festival of the Sakha People - "Issyah", learn about the "Algys" (blessing) ritual and dance the Yakut dance "Osuokhay".

The founder and organizer of the traditional format is the NGO "Fund for the Development of the Culture of the Peoples of Siberia and the Far East "Northern Rainbow".

In parallel with the competition-festival "Friends in Kaliningrad", an online edition will be held, in which children, youth and adults, dance ensembles, choirs, vocal ensembles and soloists, musical groups and individual performers, as well as performers from other creative genres are invited to take part in.

Each video will enter online voting for the People's Choice Award, and the winner will be announced on July 8th during the awarding ceremony.
