In the period April 21-25, 2023, the International Folklore Dance and Music Festival "Troya" was held, and welcomed 440 participants from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Turkey.

The first festival night created a festive mood in the central square of Canakkale. The groups enjoyed the welcoming that took place in the reception rooms of the Municipalities, after which they participated in the official parade of the festival.

The second festival concert was held on the same stage after a parade led by a local group.

All participants had the opportunity to visit Bozjaada Island and enjoy its beauty, the center of Canakkale, Ainali Charsi, the Old bazaar. Some of the participants visited Gallipoli and took an Anzac Days tour there.
 
The groups exchanged professional experience at a specially organized gala evening with a workshop. The artists presented their folklore dances and had fun at the specially organized disco party that lasted until midnight.

The guests returned to their countries with great memories and hope to come back again next year, but also happy that they had the opportunity to join various excursions to the Troy Museum and the ancient ruins of the town, organized free of charge by the organizers.
