From November 28 to December 3, 2022, the seventeenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was held, hosted by the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, Rabat. Mr. Samir Adahe, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the Kingdom of Morocco to UNESCO, chaired the annual meeting, attended by representatives of States Parties, NGOs, cultural institutions and other organizations from around the world. The Committee evaluates the nominations submitted by the States Parties for inclusion in the lists of the Convention, namely: 46 items for inclusion in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 4 items for inclusion in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Protection, 5 proposals for the Register of Good Conservation Practices and 1 request for international assistance.
