The International Folklore Dance and Music Festival "BOSPHORUS" was held in the period 21-25 October 2022, welcoming 420 participants from Serbia, Bulgaria, Palestina, Indonesia, Romania, Kazakhstan, Iran, Israel and Turkey (local folklore dance groups).

Director of the festival Mr. Aleksandar Mojsoski, announced that the festival was held for the 3rd time on the territory of Avcilar Municipality, Istanbul, Turkey.

The first festival event was held on an open area stage after the festival parade in the square of Avcilar Municipality in Halide Edip Adiver Parki. After the festival event, the groups had an opportunity to meet the president of EAFF Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov, who gave the gifts to the group leaders together with municipality’s protocol and Turkish folklore federation president.

The second festival event was held at the Cultural Center "Baris Manco", Avcilar Municipality. Before the festivals start the groups enjoyed the welcome cocktail at the Municipalities entrance hall where they get presents from the Mayor of Avcilar Municipality, Mr  Turan Hancerli.

At the closing ceremony of the last night awards were presented to the groups by the Mayor of Avcilar Municipality - Mr. Turan Hançerli. This night, groups had the opportunity to learn Turkish dances and to exchange professional experience on the specially arranged gala evening as a workshop. Later, each group showed their traditional dances. As a closing, participants had a disco party until midnight. At the closing ceremony we were honored by the presence of EAFF Director Mr Kaloyan Nikolov and his ICH partners.

Guests went back to their countries with great memories and wishes to come back again next year, but before leaving they had the opportunity to join different excursions such as Bosphorus Boat Trip, Visiting the old town of Istanbul, Taksim square and Ortakoy, Galata tower.
