The absolute winner of the 19th edition of the Black Sea Festival "Euro Folk"2022 which won the Grand Prix and the Prize Golden "Orpheus" for 2022 is the Folklore ensemble "Georgi Chilingirov" from Polkovnik Serafimovo village. Art director of the ensemble is Sabi Kaydzhiev. The prize was awarded by the President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF - Mr Kaloyan Nikolov, who has expressed his gratitude to the participants with the words: "Folklore and folklore art are the soul of communities, of peoples, of humanity – it is what keeps us as good people." This year's 19th edition of the Black Sea Festival "Euro Folk" 2022 was held in the period August 31 - September 4 under the auspices of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, an official partner of UNESCO. More than 60 vocal groups, dance collectives, orchestras, ensembles and individual participants from all ethnographic regions of Bulgaria took part in the forum. On the stage in the Kremikovtsi hotel complex in Kiten, hundreds of singers, dancers and musicians of all ages expressed their love for folklore and turned the festival into one of the most colorful musical events, part of the Music Feasts "Euro Folk". The jury committee, which had the task of evaluating the performances of the participants, was composed of: maestro Georgi Yankov - music specialist and choir conductor, Mr. Valentin Halvadzhiev - choreographer and Mrs. Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist. The awarding ceremony began with the announcement of the winner of the first prize Golden "Orpheus" in the "Old urban songs" category, which was awarded to the Vocal group "Nezabravimi melodii" at "Napredak - Elena 1863" Community center. Artistic director is Rumyana Todorova. Youth dance group "Shareni gaitani" from the village of Popovitsa, with artistic director Petar Krastev, received the Golden "Orpheus" award in the "Folk dances - children" category. The awarding ceremony for the winners of the Black Sea Festival "Euro Folk" 2022 continued with the awarding of the Golden "Orpheus" in the category "Folk dances - authentic folklore", which went to the Dance club "Kitka" from Krumovgrad, with artistic director Daniela Boyadzhieva.
