The first place in the traditional format of this year's edition of the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk" was awarded to Children's dance ensemble "Mkhedruli" from Kobuleti, Georgia. Art director of the group is Irakli Tsetskhladze. The group received the Golden medal of the Championship, title "Absolute world champion in 2022", Grand prix Golden "Orpheus" and a check worth 1,000 Euro provided by the organizers.

The second place of the XII World Championship of Folklore "World Folk" was awarded to Folklore ensemble "Izvorche" at "Hristo Botev" Community center - Krumovgrad, Bulgaria. Art directors of the group are Katya Cholakova and Mitko Karamfilov. The group received the Silver medal of the Championship, title "Absolute world vice-champion in 2022" and Silver "Orpheus".

The third place went to Representative Children's-youth dance ensemble "Zdravche-Venche" from Velingrad, Bulgaria. Art director - Ivan Ivanov. The group won the Bronze medal and Bronze "Orpheus".

The prize of the Community center that hosted the event - "Prosveta 1888" Community center, went to Female group at "Kliment Ohridski" Community center - Sklave village, Sandanski, Bulgaria. Art director - Kuzman Kuzmanov.

Special prize of the World association of Folklore Festivals - WAFF went to Folklore trio "Avliga" at "Peyo Kracholov Yavorov" Community center, Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. Art director of the trio is Rayna Hristova.

The jury commission that has the obligation to evaluate the performances in the both traditional and online editions of the Championship held in parallel from 18 to 28 August and from 22 to 27 August 2022, were in the composition of: Maestro Georgi Yankov - musical specialist and conductor; Mr Valentin Halvadzhiev - choreographer, author of folklore dance compositions; Mrs Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist, program director of EuroFolk TV. Special guest of the awarding ceremony was Mr Valko Lyubenov - director, choreographer, pedagogue, doctor honoris causa of folklore music and dances in the Ansted University UK, deputy-chairman of the Commission 6 of the International Organization of Folklore art - IOV World - UNESCO.

The president of the European and the World Association of Folklore Festivals - Mr Kaloyan Nikolov closed the event expressing his gratitude to the organizer saying: "The present time is very hard, it is struck down by many accumulated health, financial, climate and political crises, but I want to express my immense gratitude to all these guardians of folklore who give their energy, their strength, their talent to preserve folklore and pass it on to the next generations. Only traditional culture gives us a vision of what we were, what we are and what we will be, what we will leave and how the next generations will have the strength to fight with everyday life, with all the problems that come and go. Deep gratitude to the organizers, participants and hosts…"
