Children's folklore ensemble "Shareno gerdanche" from Targovishte is the winner of the 11th traditional edition of the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk" 2021. The group received the Golden medal, title "Absolute World Championship" for 2021, Golden "Orpheus" and the check in the amount of 1000 Euro, provided by the organizers. Art directors of the group are Svetla Stamenova and Anzhela Georgieva. Organizer of the competition is Euro Folk Academy and the hosts were - Municipality of Nessebar, Sunny beach, Municipality of Pomorie and the "Prosvet 1888" Community center in Pomorie. The Championship was held under the patronage of the National Commission of Bulgaria for UNESCO in the frames of Musical Feasts "Euro Folk" under the aegis of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, partner of UNESCO under the Convention for Intangible Cultural Heritage. Traditional event was held in parallel with the virtual format of the competition and both contests were attended by more than 1,000 participants in total from about 60 folklore groups. The second place of traditional edition of "World Folk" was for Ensemble for folklore dances "Codrenii" from Calarasi, Moldova. The group's leader is Igor Philipchuk and choreographer - George Furkulitsa. They received Silver medal and the title "Absolute Vice Champion" in 2021. Third place in the competition was for Dance group "Pirinska magia" who won the Bronze medal and the Bronze "Orpheus". Art director of the group - Valeri Zhganev from the village of Marikostinovo. The officials on the stage of the Championship were Mrs. Kremena Stoyanova - Chief Expert of the Department "Nessebar - World Heritage" at the Municipality of Nessebar, Mr. Valko Lyubenov - director, choreographer, pedagogue, doctor honoris causa in folk music and dance of "Ansted University UK”, Deputy Chairman of Commission 6 of the International Organization of Folk Art IOV World - UNESCO and Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov - President of the European and World Associations of Folklore Festivals. Mrs. Kremena Stoyanova presented the award to the Mayor of Nessebar - Mr. Nikolay Dimitrov to the Children's and youth dance ensemble "Kyustendilche" at the United Children's Complex - Kyustendil, with artistic director Rangel Madzharski. The award of the Mayor of Pomorie Municipality - Mr. Ivan Alexiev, diploma and gift set, was received by Folklore dance ensemble "Volyunge" - Kedainiai, Lithuania. During the official awarding of the nominated ensembles, three special awards were presented to the National Commission of Bulgaria for UNESCO, with Secretary General Mr. Hristo Georgiev. The Ensemble for authentic folklore at the "Docho Mihailov 1906" Community Center in the village of Babuk, municipality of Silistra received the special award for excellent presentation of the National Commission of Bulgaria for UNESCO. The leader of the formation is Neno Petrov. The special award of the National Commission of Bulgaria for UNESCO was also awarded to the Male vocal group at the "Prosveta-1937" Community Center - Marikostinovo village, Petrich municipality. The third prize of the National Commission of Bulgaria for UNESCO was awarded to the Dance ensemble "Milanovo" at the "Probuda-1927" Community Center - the village of Milanovo, Svoge municipality. The special award on the criterion "Complexity and technique of performances" was received by the Trio "Shareni manista" at the "Napredak 1869" Community Center - Pirdop. The leader of the group is Mariana Varbanova. The senior group of "MI-RE-LA" Dance Club, with artistic director Mirela Dimitrova - German village, was awarded the prize to the criteria "Performance - costumes, props, staging, choice of repertoire". Folklore dance ensemble "Codrenii" from Calarasi, Moldova, received prize according to the criterion for "Stage Behavior". The leader of the group is Igor Filipchuk. The award of Euro Folk TV, which was the main media partner of the World Championship of Folklore, deservedly received by the Dance ensemble for original folklore "Lomski ritmi" at the "September 23, 1960" Community Center - Lom. The group was awarded with a free video recording. The team broadcast live all the concerts from the program of the Championship, and the participants in its digital version watched what was happening on the stage live. The online form of the Championship was attended by choirs, vocal groups, dance groups, ensembles and individual performers from Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Philippines, Inner Mongolia - China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Malaysia. The winning group in the virtual folklore competition is the Cultural Dance Troup "Nawan" at the Polytechnic State University of the Zamboanga Peninsula - Philippines. Artistic director of the young performers is Mark Anthony Q. Basilio. The group was awarded a gold medal, a diploma and a cash prize of 500 Euro in the form of a voucher for participation in the World Championship of Folklore. The artistic director of the jury received the title of "maestro-academician". The second place in the final ranking of the online edition was taken by the Folklore ensemble "Vierbitsa" at the Palace of Culture "Maz" - Minsk, Belarus. The ensemble won a silver medal, a diploma and a prize of 300 Euro in the form of a voucher for participation in the World Championship of Folklore, and the jury awarded the title of "maestro-academician" to the leader Ales Svirski. The diploma will be sent to the Ministry of Culture of Belarus with a request to be officially presented. The jury determined third place in the digital variation of the event for Sextet at the Children's and youth folklore ensemble "Graovche" at the Center for Support and Personal Development - Pernik, Bulgaria. The leader of the team is maestro-academician Mariana Yankulova. The ensemble received a bronze medal, a diploma and a cash prize of 200 Euro in the form of a voucher for participation in the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk". The winner of the audience award, determined by the votes of the audience, is Alya Marina Binti Mahatir from the city of Sanakan, Malaysia. In the virtual edition with the title "Laureate - first degree" and a gold diploma were awarded 27 groups and individual performers, "second degree" and a silver diploma were awarded to 12 participants. Laureate title - third degree and bronze diploma were not awarded.
