The 2nd Music Hackathon - Bulgaria was held on November 11-12, 2017 in Sofia. The event had the aim to gather together programmers, musicians, artists, scientists, composers and all people who love music and technology. "We are glad to share with you that the 2nd Musical Hackathon was more than successful. 50 enrollments, about 100 visitors and 9 amazing projects within both competition days. 11 organizations - sponsors and 20 partners supported the most innovative competition in the field of music technologies. The event was attended by participants from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Switzerland and Spain. The winner will attend the Music Vision in NYC in the next 2018. One of the most important results is the increased interest of participants in music technology and project applications for the 3rd Music Hackathon, for which the dates are announced." - informed the organizer of the event Milena Krumova, who thanked the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF for the support as a partner of the event. The EAFF prize was awarded to Project Emotion Explorer. In "IT Sound" category, the EAFF's prize was given to the Project Star Trak - Where no track has gone before. Hackathon is a technological event with a musical direction that takes place within a day or a few days in the form of a marathon. Software developers, designers and other highly specialized IT specialists collaborate on a particular topic, the ultimate goal is to create a product, a prototype, or a potential idea for a subsequent realization.
