For the first time, foreign folk groups were invited to the May "Tisza" Folk Festival in Csongrad (April 29 - May 2) in Csongrad and Szeged, informed us the director of the festival Mr. Aaron Kovats. Ensembles from Slovenia, Turkey and Poland joined the Hungarian groups.

 

Participants had many optional and elective programs, which included consideration of urban sightseeing tours, bathing in the famous thermal springs, tasting some local wines and famous Hungarian beef goulash, sporting activities (Archery), exploring the local cultural heritage and others.

The groups had the opportunity to present their crafts and typical local products to the guests of the festival.

 

At the closing ceremony of the festival in Csongrad, the deputy mayor welcomed the participants and said he will be happily waiting for them next year, at the same time.
