This orchestra contest attracts talented participants from all around the world, making it a truly global event. Additionally, the contest in Spain is particularly noteworthy, as it is a unique opportunity for musicians and orchestras to perform in one of the most culturally rich countries in the world. The contest in Spain provides a perfect setting to learn from and engage with fellow musicians from various cultures, which can be an invaluable experience for any aspiring musician. An international jury consisting of experienced and recognized professionals in the field of music will evaluate the performances of orchestras and select the winners. Therefore, the search for sponsors is an additional incentive for participants to demonstrate their best talent and professionalism. We give our priority to learning and sharing experiences. At this contest a big attention is paid to the educational program. The event includes master classes, workshops, rehearsals of joint numbers with foreign specialists with world names, whom we invite to upgrade the skills of the contestants and additional qualification of teachers. Teachers who have completed the master classes receive a certificate on a stamped paper of the Kingdom of Spain with individual numbers. Overall, the Spring Symphonies orchestra contest, particularly the contest in Spain, is an excellent opportunity for musicians and orchestras to hone their skills and gain valuable performance experience, while also creating memories that will last a lifetime. You will remember this brilliant time for the rest of your days! This competition invites: orchestras, music groups and ensembles, as well as individual soloists. All of our programs consist of two parts: 1. Participation in the competition and festival 2. Participation in the Festival without competing in the competition*. * For those who don’t want to participate in the competitive program, but wish to participate in the festival. They will still participate in the other festival activities including: joint rehearsals, workshops and master classes, where they receive advice and an official certificate from the renowned international experts during a brief discussion in an open and friendly atmosphere. Non competing participants will also perform at international friendship concerts combining different kinds of art. Communication with other participants, an open exchange of experience as well as a lot of master classes with internationally recognized experts, will certainly bring you to a whole new level of creativity! Categories: GROUP (А) - Brass bands and ensembles GROUP (B) - Folk orchestras and ensembles GROUP (C) - String Orchestras and Ensembles GROUP (D) - Mixed orchestras or ensembles GROUP (E) - Jazz bands and ensembles GROUP (F) - Chamber Orchestras and Ensembles GROUP (G) - Vocal and instrumental ensembles and orchestras GROUP (H) - Marching Orchestras Terms of participation: Each group or soloist should present 1 or 2 competitive compositions. Participants who used tracks should record it on a USB flash drive. And also it’s obligatory to have a backup copy of tracks. In the application, it’s necessary to specify if the layout of performances is needed or if the work will be executed by one set. It’s obligatory to indicate soloists, duets and small groups of 3-5 persons. During the competitive performances as to the groups, so to the soloists, it’s prohibited to use lip-synching sound records. Due to the organizational issues and for providing optimal conditions for the participants, participation in the contest is allowed only in case if the whole services pack including accommodation of the participants is booked directly via the booking department of Fiestalonia Milenio or via the travel agencies we collaborate with. It is an obligatory condition, therefore it’s a part of the Participation conditions. Age groups of the participants: I ) 8-12 years II) 13-15 years III) 16-19 years IV) 20-25 years V) from 26 years VI) Mixed age category MIXTA ESTIMATION OF AGE: - For DUO/TRIO/QUARTET - the group age is calculated from the oldest participant’s age. - For ensembles, groups of 5 or more people, the age is calculated based on the average age of the group. Jury and evaluation criteria: The jury has the right: not to award all the prizes; to share prize among performers; to award special prizes to teachers for outstanding achievements; to make a decision about breaking a performance which exceeds the bounds of the regulations; the jury evaluates the participants on one hundred-point system, the final result is made up of the average quantity of the received scores and the average value of the progress scores; the jury’s decisions are final and are not subject to review. Evaluation criteria: The degree of virtuosity and technical freedom; Scenic culture, artistry, creative individuality; Degree of complexity of the repertoire; Harmony of all instruments, teamwork. Prizes: The jury evaluates the participants on 100-point scale. Regarding the genres of performing and nominations the awards are distributed due to seven age groups participants who received up to 70 points become diploma holders; participants who received from 70 to 79 points - laureates of the third degree; participants who received from 80 to 89 points become laureates of the second degree; participants who received from 90 to 99 points become laureates of the first degree; participants who received 100 points become Grand Prize winners of the contest "Spring Symphonies". Grand Prix winners receive a big cup and diplomas (one for each group/quartet/trio/duo/solo), as well as medals (for each contestant); First place winners receive a standard trophy and diplomas (one per group/quartet/trio/duo/solo) and medals (for each contestant); Second and third place winners receive diplomas (one for each group/quartet/trio/duo/solo) and medals (for each contestant); All contestants receive diplomas with their results (one for each composition/group/quartet/trio/duet/solo), as well as medals (for each contestant). *Groups of 5 people or more, receive a special engraving from the city authorities. *Each leader and sponsor of the group receives a letter of thanks on stamped paper of the Kingdom of Spain. *Each contestant in the group can request a personal diploma for an additional fee (before the competition). Program of stay: 1st day: – check-in to a hotel from 14:00 pm; – dinner; – meeting with the organizers of the contest; – presentation of the excursion programs. 2nd day: 8:00 – breakfast; 11:00 – rehearsal; 12:30 – lunch (if you have ordered this option at an additional cost); 14:00 – beginning of the international orchestra festival-contest Spring Symphonies; 19:30 – dinner; 20:00 – master class. 3rd day: 8:00 – breakfast; 10:00 – full rehearsal on the town square; 13:00 – lunch (if you have ordered this option at an additional cost); 14:30 – an excursion is possible for an additional charge; 20:00 – dinner; 21:00 – visit to a flamenco show with vine, sangria, champagne, and other drinks (for an additional charge). 4th day: 8:00 – breakfast; 9:00 – excursions (for an additional charge); 19:30 – dinner; 20:30 – beginning of the gala concert of the winners and giving out the awards. 5th day: – breakfast; – check out from the hotel at 10:00 ATTENTION!
