Lefkada is the fourth largest island in the Ionian group. It is located between Corfu and Kefalonia. Its name derives from the Greek word "leukos" (white) because of the white rocks of the island. The highest destination is also the capital of Lefkada with the same name - Lefkada. The village has a Venetian-style architecture, and the beautiful streets offers cafes and restaurants.

The island has several medium-sized resorts along the east coast and a large number of individual beaches, the most famous of which are Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Nidri.

Goal of the festival:

The goal of the festival is to provide kids, teenagers and adults with the opportunity to show their talents in front of a big audience; to develop and promote music and dance art, as well as to strengthen the relationships between group leaders. Further goal of the festival is to promote joint activities among the performers and create friendships.

Form of the festival: "Sun Sparks" festival is not a competition and participants would not compete against each other.

Participants in the festival:

The festival is open to all - individual participants, community centers, youth centers, academies, public schools, private schools, dance studios/clubs, etc. There are no age limitations.

Age categories:

• 1st age category - kids under 12 years
• 2nd age category - teenagers 13 to 19 years
• 3rd age category - adults over 19 yrs

Participation terms:

Maximum duration of musical and dance performances:

• Solo, duet and trio - up to 4 min for performance per age group
• Group - up to 15 min for an ensemble per age group

Dance category is open to all non-professional dance groups and performers without restrictions in genre (hip-hop, classical dance, folk dance, modern dance, jazz ballet, etc.) or number of participants.

Music category is open to all non-professional dance groups and performers (singers, musicians, choirs, etc.) without restrictions in genre (hip-hop, classical music, folk music, pop and rock music, jazz, etc.) or number of participants.

Participation fee:

• Additional nights in the hotel 3* – 55€ per person per night
• Hotel 3* - Single room – 90 € - additional payment for 4 nights

• Additional nights in the hotel 4* – 72€ per person per night
• Hotel 4* - Single room – 130 € - additional payment for 4 nights

• Additional nights in the hotel 5* – 69 € per person per night
• Hotel 5* - Single room – 123 € - additional payment for 4 nights

Note: Hotel rooms are limited and are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis until they are sold out!

Participation fee includes:

• A certificate of attendance and prize for every ensemble

Participation fee does not include:

• Additional excursions are requested in advance
• Hotel taxes - 5* hotel - 15 euro per room per day, for 2025, may have changes

Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
