Date and location of Festival: Georgia, Tbilisi, October 25-29/2019

Goal of the Festival: 

Development of folklore arts; popularization of the world folklore culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world folklore arts; improvement of the level of qualification of choreographers;

Festival Participants:

Folklore groups from different countries of the world and different regions of Georgia (ages not limited) take part in the Festival.

Participation Conditions:

Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each) in the following nominations: folklore dances, folklore songs (ensembles and individual); songs and romances; folklore handcraft arts (exhibitions).  In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show.  Music can be live or phonogram.  With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival booklet).  Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

Day 1,
October 25
 
  • Reception of group supervisors in the Union office;
  • Dinner;
  • Excursion in night Tbilisi. 
Day 2,
October 26
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure to Mtskheta;
  • Reception of delegation leaders in Mtskheta Municipality;
  • Festival parade;
  • Festival opening Gala Concert;
  • Lunch;
  • Excursion in Mtskheta;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner at the hotel.  
 
Day 3,
October 27
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure for Kvareli;
  • Reception of delegation leaders in Kvareli Municipality;
  • Excursion in Kvareli;
  • Lunch;
  • Festival parade;
  • Concert;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner (hotel). 
 
Day 4,
October 28
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure for Telavi;
  • Reception of delegation leaders at Telavi Municipality;
  • Excursion in Telavi;
  • Lunch;
  • Festival parade;
  • Gala Concert; awarding of participants with diplomas and memorable presents;
  • Banquet for heads of all delegations;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner (hotel). 
 
Day 5,
October 29
  • Departure of participating groups.  
 
 

Participation fee:

According to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group:
  • EURO 200 – 5 days – hotel accommodation (2, 3 and 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
  • EURO 250 – 5 days – 2-start hotel accommodation (2, 3 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
  • EURO 350 – 5 days – 3-star hotel accommodation (2, 3 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
  • EURO 650 – 5 days –5-star hotel accommodation (2 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;  
Important: Every 16th participant of a Festival participant group is free from the Festival fee;
 
Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
 
Participating group transfers 50% advance payment of the whole fee to be paid.
Remaining 40% is to be transferred not later than a week ahead of the start of Festival.
