VII Folk Fiesta Festival in Nysa (17-19 August 2012)

"Folk Fiesta" started in Nysa 7 years ago and its popularity with the city’s inhabitants, as well as tourists is increasing every year. The festival lasts for three days (the second weekend of August) and includes three day-concerts and performances as well as a street parade. The festival takes place on the yard of the beautifully renovated Bastion Saint Hedwig, which makes it even more attractive.
 
Picturesque performances made by foreign groups of dancers wearing their national costumes usually draws the attention of all the citizens despite their age, gender or music preferences.  During the parade when the colourful column moves around the city centre and there are short performances held in every nook and cranny so that the whole city can enjoy the pleasure of listening to the fantastic melodies, watching musicians playing unknown instruments and admiring the marvellous skills of the dancers.
 
We do not have any age limitations. Sometimes the group consist of musicians only, sometimes of only dancers, but such variety only contributes to the breathtaking experience – our Folk Fiesta Festival, celebration of music and dance and tradition.

The conditions are as following:

The Organizing Committee reimburse/cover the expenses of travel on the territory of Poland.
The Organizing Committee cover the costs of meals and accommodation of the groups.
No age limits. The music can be both live and CD.

Applications for participation in this festival are accepted only from collectives members of EAFF.
