Festivals members of the European Association of the Folklore Festivals.

The European Association of Folklore Festivals awards are the “Golden Orpheus” Prize and Diploma or Honorary Sign and Diploma. The members of the organization, willing to obtain prizes of the European Association of Folklore Festivals shall have to apply for it.

They have to declare their will to apply for the prizes of the European Association of Folklore Festivals by e-mail to: office@eaff.eu and they shall receive detailed information about the procedure of applying. In order to obtain the prize during the festival, the presence of a representative of the European Association of Folklore Festivals shall be necessary, who to give their estimation and to bestow the prize on the closing ceremony of the festival.

The underlying criteria for the valuation shall be the quality of organizing the festival, the authenticity of the traditional folklore arts and the performing skills of the participants.

Collective members of the European Association of the Folklore Festivals.

The prizes that the European Association of Folklore Festivals awards for collective members are the “Golden Orpheus” Prize and Diploma or Honorary Sign and Diploma. The “Golden Orpheus” statuette is smaller than the one for the festivals.

The principle criteria for awarding the prizes include the long standing contribution in preserving and promoting the traditional folklore arts, the authenticity of the performances and the performing skills. The organizations – candidates for prizes of the European Association of Folklore Festivals as the collective members must have at least five years experience in cultural activities.

All those wishing to apply for the prizes of the European Association of Folklore Festivals have to declare their will by e-mail to: office@eaff.eu and they shall receive detailed information and an inquiry form for the applying. The evaluation of the performing skills shall be done during their participation in some of the festivals of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk” or on video records of the candidates’ performances sent by post.
